Charmander evolves into Charmeleon at Level 16.

Charmeleon evolves into Charizard at Level 36.

In the show i remember how charmander had been abandoned by its owner because he thought that charmander was weak so he left him on a stone saying i will be back but he wasnt going to go back. Ash, Misty and Brock find the charmander and Ash tries to catch it but cant because it has an owner already so they go to the pokemon center to spend the night. During the night it storms bad and they over hear the charmanders owner saying how he abondoned it and the rush to rescue the charmander before the flame on the tail goes out. When the flame on a charmanders tail goes out it dies so when Ash saved the charmander it decided to join him in his journy to become a pokemon master.
